'Recent Songs' was a very underappreciated album , and my favourite. The Armenian inspired instrumentation is a stroke of genius. Not a bad cut on the album.

One of my fave Leonard Cohen performances. Inviting him to sing (in his Leonard way) this song was a stroke of genius. So not in his usual wheelhouse. I’ve got this album on an old iPod that still works. When it comes up in the shuffle, I’m transported to wherever this extraordinary vehicle is travelling with its ghostly passenger. I just love it.

Hi Dr. H. Guy, how are you and your family and friends- well I trust, no Covid. No, I still can't listen to him for long periods of time- sounds like I need an appointment I know but I know he knows- I do listen to music he dug and Adam of course and I can enjoy, Ladies and Gentlemen, Mr. Leonard Cohen, again...and I am a Hotel, I know he wasn't keen on it and I know why, I think- but I'm a ballet, modern dance, Anne Ditchburn fan, so...I also love the short film by our National Film Board, music by The Stormy Clovers- about snow and love, of course! Hope you enjoy the season and 2023 is a wonderful year- must be very hard for you, having had the privilege to be a close friend- the morning I heard he passed I took my biography- the one by Sylvie Simmons and hid it- I nearly fainted, my husband caught me but as usual I reacted strangely and put the book, only that one- not Leonard's or his music- had only read about 20 pages- I still can't find it! Wouaou! I learned many things looking at this video and may be i understand now why i like flamenco guitar as much as leonard cohen tremolos. As an amator guitar player, i found many of them simple compare to flamenco but the sound and the armonies are wonderfull. I saw Leonard Cohen with Anjani Thomas in the 80th at a punk festival. Very Bad sound, people shouting at him. He was not in the good place. I saw he sustained a few on us that knew his songs.

Mr Cohen isn't only a great singer but he's a n excellent orator as well. Talking so eloquenly in front of the Spanish royal family and the high dignitaries is simply amazing.
